About the Author

Né en 1979, Romain Hugault se passionne très tôt pour le domaine aéronautique et obtient son brevet de pilote à dix-sept ans. Il a alors le choix entre faire de son métier pilote et dessiner pour le plaisir, ou devenir dessinateur et piloter en loisir : il opte pour la seconde option. Suite à ses études à l'École Estienne, il a illustré des ouvrages de référence en matière d'aviation, dont certains pour l'armée de l'air. L'essentiel de son oeuvre consiste en des bandes dessinées d'aviation, notamment durant les deux Guerres mondiales. Inspiré également par les pin-ups de cette époque, il est l'auteur de plusieurs artbooks intitulés Pin-Up Wings. Il a vendu à ce jour plus de 800.000 albums. Ses séries Angel Wings, Le Pilote à l'Edelweiss ou encore Le Grand Duc sont traduites dans de nombreux pays, dont les USA, le Japon ou la Russie.

    Certain events in the history of Kara Hultgreen and the F-14 she flew, are covered in a comic book style. The beautiful illustrations, some are full page, remind me of Hasegawa and Tamiya model box art. I would like to see more F-14 books join this series.

    E' una festa per gli occhi, con immagini dei Tomcat sul mare assolutemte favolose.
    Racconta la storia, dura e drammatica della prima donna pilota di F14. Ci sono dentro gli anni 80, i pregiudizi, il maschiismo e il machismo di quel mondo.
    Con tutto questo, è un fumetto solo per appassionate e appassionati di aviazione.
    Quel genere di persone che possono parlare per mezz'ora dei diversi tipi di ipersostentatori e degli stalli dei compressori nei primi motori turboventola. Per fortuna la persona a cui l'o regalato è proprio così.
