I love these noodles they are a quick & easy go to when I can’t be bothered to make a meal. I purchased my last box of these just before the Corona Virus got worse for a pretty reasonable price of £16.99. To see they’ve pretty much doubled the price now is awful & disgusting given the current state the world is in.
Companies/sellers who inflate price like this during global pandemics are gross & will not be seeing another penny from me even when the virus has died down.

A warning: this may end up being 90% of your diet. I COULD spend 30 - 40 minutes preparing that brown rice, salad and salmon I have in the fridge... OR I could chuck this in a pot, make it gourmet by putting a fried egg on top and five minutes later I have a full meal! Not sure about the health ramifications of an all mee goreng diet..

They have CHANGED the recipe! We are all feeling very grumpy at this unnecessary action, as a family who loved the 'original' recipe. Why 'fix' something that wasn't broken? They are NOT as good as they were. Different. Still tasty but down a league from the high pedestal they were previously on. Gone are the chilli flakes, replaced by a sachet of bog standard hot chilli sauce, and the other sachets just don't taste the same when mixed in. Grrrrh.

What a disappointment!

Reviewers of this product, what have you gotten me addicted to here?!!! I went looking for deals on pot noodles and these ended up in the basket. Sounded interesting. Sounded good!

I'm not sure a box of 40 is enough on a months subscribe and save, and you can't ration these because they call to you from the cupboard at meal times.

What idea I didn't get from the reviews I read (and there's already plenty of reviews without adding my own voice), and what is so hard to convey are the flavours and what these little sachets are all about. The noodles themselves are pretty standard but a good quality. You throw them in a pan of boiling water for 3-4 minutes. It's those sachets which contain the magic though - they're some kind of noodle witchcraft.

One half sachet is a thick, sweet and salty black gloop that looks like molasses. You need to scrape it out. The other half is oil and spices, drop it in a cup, let it melt within the sachet and mix the spices into the oil with your fingers and tip out.
The other sachet has two powders in each half, one being a strongly fried onion, savoury taste and the other being chilli powder. The beauty being that you can add chilli to taste. In my case, the whole lot!

Mix the sachets on the plate, add the drained noodles, mix in all in... Heaven. The flavour is hot, sweet, salty, spices, unami, fried onion-y, satisfying... Delicious! Very Asian in flavours

One box is not enough, I think my subscribe and save quantity will be increasing next month!

The package and quality in the entire UK is worse

I would like to notice recent customers who are going to buy indomie in UK(here, Tesco, any UK supermarket), the packaging and the quality of the noodles is getting much worse than before(2021).

The upper package is the previous version of exported indomie in UK, which bought from last year at Amazon same product here, the quality of noodles was really good that is more "flexible" and the taste is nice as well, it can maintain the texture and the taste after you cook normally(2-4mins).

The lower is the current version within UK, the noodles is degraded and the taste become much worse than before.
If you cook the noodles normally (around 2-3mins), the noodles already lost its texture and it cut off even you didn't bite on it.
If you overcook the noodles (around 4mins), the noodles will even like congee and the taste is bad, which is unacceptable.

To identify which is better, there is an egg on the packaging for the previous good version, but Amazon UK haven't change their product picture yet, and the lower one is what Amazon give me(package picture without egg), also it is the version you can found in any UK supermarket recently(2022).

I am not here to blame the seller, as it is not their fault, but please update the cover of this product to currently version to notice people because they are in totally different quality.

I also would like to inform any UK indomie seller to urge the indomie UK supplier about this issue and hope they can change back the noodles to the previous one(around 2021 version).

So, you know how you get the oily white and brown sauce, well you don’t get that. If you’ve had hot and spicy, it’s essentially the same. Fried onions, orange sauce and the hoisin looking sauce. Other pack is powder and essentially oil with herbs. There’s no chilli powder included, and it shows. The heat is basically like the barbecue one, where spicy in places, and not in every bite.

How to tell;
Packet is 85g, the original is 80g
It has 50 years splatted on the box and on the packaging (still has an egg)
The sachet of powder is in gold text
The other sachet is in hot and spicy compartments
The unopened pack has a sticker with ingredients and nutritional info

If the original is 10/10, then for me this is 8/10. Obviously I bought from one seller, so your mileage will vary

If you don’t like spicy noodles, or find the original a bit too hot, then this might work better.

The new oil is a pain not to spill while cutting, as it’s more liquidy than the original
