...there’s always a but (or two)!
Firstly, the positives: Solid, stable construction give you confidence that it will hold the weight of your machine easily. For me, this was proved when finally attaching our tumble dryer. A good idea also are the adjustable anchors at each corner, which lock on to the feet of the machine. The result is a solid heavy construction that isn’t going to let you down.
Now for the negatives-poor one sheet instructions, though construction could be worked out eventually. You need a spanner and the dreaded Allen key for the bolt heads to put it together. I used my electric screwdriver to speed up the process which worked well.
What isn’t made obvious in the Amazon product description is the fact that because the nuts and bolts used to secure the top of the stand protrude inside it, you have a significant amount less space all around the top to accommodate your machine. In the end, I had to reverse the bolts so that the screw side was facing into the top, which provided enough space for the tumble dryer to fit.
Now it’s done, very pleased with the result, though more relieved that I was able to get it to fit. A good tip for fitting the machine is to use some lifting straps, which enabled a two person lift to be achieved much more easier and safer than two people trying to lift it onto the stand literally by hand.
Buyer beware! I was on the point of returning the stand as it would not fit initially. Its weight is a hefty 21 Kg. The returns process advised that Amazon would contribute £4.75 to the cost of return postage - no free label! The cheapest return postage I could find was over £40! So be careful with your measurements to ensure that it will fit before committing to a purchase!
